Requirements to Apply:
- Have a valid Learner's Permit with photo and it must not be suspended.
- Present the current Certificate of the 5-hour Pre-licensing Course.
- Be sure to wear your glasses or hearing aids during the exam, if you have any of these restrictions.

Schedule your appointment for the exam
Our appointment scheduling system offers you different dates and locations to take your road test in Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Long Island.
- Dates depend on Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) availability.
- They can be scheduled Monday through Friday and may take 3 to 5 weeks to obtain.
- Depending on the winter or summer season, it may take longer to get an appointment.

Take the Road Test

Results
- Results will be posted on the DMV website after 6 p.m. on the day of your test.
- If you win, you will receive your temporary license, and your new license will arrive in approximately two weeks at the email address registered on the permit.
- If you fail, you can schedule another appointment as long as all required documents are current.
